I went to the doctor today for my 26 week check up and my glucose test. I must say that I was VERY nervouse about drinking the glucose, but it honestly was not bad at all!! Kinda reminded me of gatorade. After an hour they checked my blood, but since it takes a while for results, I left before they were ready. With my visit with the doctor, I weighed in 2 lbs heavier than last time for a total gain of 5 lbs! I did tell the nurse before I got on the scale that it was going to be at LEAST a 4 lb gain, but it wasn't. Ya ya...I know it's a good thing....but now I keep thinking I'm going to gain it all in my last month! Yikes! Anywho...my urine test showed a slight trace of glucose, which the dr. said was normal since that was all that was in my system- he was not concerned and said he would call if something showed up in my blood. Other than that, he said my tummy size is normal and is growing on track! I go back to the dr. in three weeks, which is Spring Break...so of course my dr. thinks he's a teacher and needs the week off (haha) so I go back March 22. At that appointment, I get to schedule my 3D ultrasound! I can't wait to see her!
As for Miss Maggie, she has been a happy little thing lately! It's an amazing feeling to feel her kick and move around! My mom is buying Jackson and I a crib as a baby gift, so we should be getting that soon. I'm ready to get her room together!
As for college, I passed my state exam!! Whoo-hoo!!! The other ladies in my class are taking it in April, but I went ahead and took it in January just in case Maggie blesses us earlier than expected. So now all I have to do is finish my classes this semester and graduate in May!! The only bad thing is, now that I passed, I really don't want to concentrate on school....I'd rather do other things!
Other than that, life has been good! I'm hoping the beautiful weather begins to stay around more often so that I can enjoy the afternoons outside!
Here are some belly photos that Jackson took....he's not that great....haha
Annie's new hair cut....
Looking good Laura - your belly definitely looks bigger than last time I saw you! :) I cannot believe we are almost in our 3rd trimesters. Woohoo! See ya tomorrow!
