18 weeks

Today I am 18 weeks!!! Yay! I was suppose to find out what I'm having today, but the doctor is out on vacation. I have an appointment on Monday morning to find out! We- or maybe I should say I- can't wait!!! Jackson really doesn't want to find out, but I do. I really want to start to decorate the baby's room and get things ready! We will keep baby #2 a secret! haha

Holidays

Whoo-hoo for the Christmas holidays!!!
Jackson, Alicia, Slade, Clay, Layton, Dad, Beverly, Sloane, Bill, Quentin, Kaid, and myself loaded up on the 17th and headed to Breckenridge Colorado for a skiing adventure! The 21 hour drive was uncomfortable, but we all made it safely! It snowed everyday-all day while we were there! Jackson taught the gang to ski since he and I were the only ones with experience. Then the guys hit the mountain and us ladies stuck to the slope that went by our house. We also spent a day at the sledding park, where Clark Griswald once sledded. Now that is my favorite! We have tons of picstures that I will post soon!!

We spent Christmas Eve at my dad's house with his side of the family. We played the traditional Chinese Christmas and I ended up with a Brad Paisley Greatest Hits CD and an Academy GC. Then, to my surprise, dad and Beverly gave Baby Motal a new rocking chair for mommy and daddy to rock "it" in. Can't wait to use it!

Christmas Day was spent with my mom's family at my grandma's house. He had a delicous lunch and opened presents. Then, my mom, Aunt Becky, Granny, Robin, and I spent about 4 hours playing dominoes. It was a lot of fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year!!!

First Ultrasound- November 4, 2010

The six weeks from the time I found out I was pregnant until my first ultrasound seemed like a lifetime! Morning sickness sank in and was almost daily! I also had the normal bloating where nothing fit right. :(  Finally November 4th came and Jackson and I went to see our little blessing for the first time! It was so surreal seeing the little peanut on the screen and hearing the heartbeat! Of course Jackson had the tech clarify that there was only 1.....my grandma had twin sisters! The heart rate was a rapid 176 and the doctor said everything looked great!!! I scheduled my 14 week appt and went home to share the news with EVERYONE!!!

Exciting News - September 24, 2010

On Friday, September 24th, I realized that my monthly friend had not visited as scheduled, so I rushed home to take a pregnancy test. Jackson was home packing for a bachelor party weekend, so I told him what was going on. Of course he laughed and said, "Ya right....just wait until tomorrow." Being impatient, I rushed to the restroom and......saw 2 pink lines!! Whoo-hoo!!! I ran to the bedroom and showed him the stick. We both had huge smiles!!! Being the the skeptical person he is, he said he wouldn't believe it until I had a blood test. (Ya right! He was excited) I immediately called my sister so that she could help me cover for that afternoon's happy hour!
I woke up early Saturday morning and prepared for an exciting day of wedding showers for my dear friend Katie. However, I rushed to the clinic in Wharton for a blood test first thing. Since I hadn't seen my doctor, they made me wait for the results. That hour seemed like 10-thank goodness I was able to text my sister the whole time!! Finally the lady came out and said, "Congratulations!" All smiles once again, I called Jackson and told him the GREAT news!! The bad thing was, I had to spend the day with friends and not say a word! Yikes!! Some how I survived!
I had to wait until November 4th to see the doctor and have my first ultrasound.
