Good News...

I know its been a while since I've posted anything....but I promise I'll get better!

So last Thursday we had our 32 week appointment and ultrasound. It was super exciting getting to see Maggie! I hadn't seen her since Jan. 3, and my has she grown! First the tech measured everything as normal and said all looked great! Then she switched over to 3D so we could see our little princess' face. However, it didn't work out so great. I apparently I have a ???? placenta (can't remember) but it's backwards so that makes it hard to "see" through. On top of that, Maggie was doing a high kick and blocking her face. Therefore the tech couldn't see through my placenta nor Maggie's leg. I was a little disappointed, but Jackson didn't want to see her face, so at least he will get one surprise from this pregnancy! :)
When I met with the dr, he informed me that Maggie weighs 4.5lbs and is doing great! He also told me that her head is not big, so delivery should be good! (I guess he could tell I was wondering) I gained 2lbs for a total gain of 12. Dr. Gubbles said that I will probably gain about a pound a week until the end. However, by the way I've been eating, I'm pretty sure I'll gain more than that! haha We go back next week for another checkup. Hopefully things will continue on track!

Now for some other good news.....I got the call I've been waiting for last night.....I got a new job!! I will be an educational diagnostician for the district starting next school year!!! For those of you that don't know what that is, I will be testing students for special education services. Another great part of this is that they also hired Ginger Kacal!! We are both very excited to start this new journey in our lives together!! Getting hired is a very bittersweet issue for me. It's the job I'm dieing to have, BUT....how do I leave my WONDERFUL Northside family???? I love everyone that I work with and will greatly miss them!!! :( They have been wonderful to me for the past five years, and I know they will support me on this new adventure. O, another great thing about getting the job, is that Mrs. Srubar has decided to retire! I cried when I heard the news, but am happy that we are leaving at the same time! I loved her as my principal in high school, and even more as my boss! It would be really hard to work for someone else.

This weekend I will be attending Tiffany's bachlorette party in Houston. We have lots of fun stuff planned, so I will be sure to post pics soon!

  3. YAY for being a diag!! I love my diag in Fort Bend! Do you guys have a speech path? I heard that for a while you had someone as contract and then didn't have anyone for a while in the district...didn't know how true that is.

  4. Since EC has 5 different campuses, we had 1 or 2 (I think) that worked for the district, but then we did have some that contracted. I guess that is not an area that many people get a degree in.
