The last month has been absolutely crazy! As you all know we lost Jackson's brother Stan on September 21st. Well, last week we lost Jessica as well. We all pray that Stan and Jess have found the peace they needed and are now together for eternity. All the thoughts and prayers we have received are greatly appreciated. Please keep them coming....there is still a long road ahead.
With all that said, I'd like to answer the famous "What about Madison?" question...Maddie is with Amanda, Jess' mom. She is being well taken care of and is getting more love than anyone will ever know! Yes, Jackson and I have discussed taking Maddie into our home IF needed. However, like I said earlier, Maddie is being WELL taken care of and is with the people she knows and loves. We look forward to seeing her as much as possible and remaining in her life. She is such a beautiful sweet baby! I know Maggie an Maddie will have lots of fun together!! :)
So hopefully that will end all the EC rumors!
On a good note...miss Maggie is still growing and is a lot of fun! She turned 5 months last Sunday! Im not sure where the time is going! We nixed the pebbles costume for halloween and instead she is going to be a pumpkin...and a really cute one at that!
Below are some recent pics!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and a safe Halloween!!

Way Behind!!
I know...I know..it has been forever since I last blogged!! What can I say....life is BUSY!!!
Let me start with Labor Day weekend....we all headed down to the bay for the weekend. Nana kept Maggie Friday night and then she went to Aunt Sloane and Uncle Bill's on Saturday while mommy, daddy, Sammie Jo, and Jason went on a fishing adventure! Since the wind was blowing 100mph and we were in the aluminator...we couldn't go far or do much. But that was ok...we made do! My first cast of the morning, I caught a huge flounder! 18.5 inches 2.91lbs! Luckily we were in a tournament so that got us $300! About 1 minute later, Sammie Jo caught a keeper red fish!! As for the boys....all they caught was a buzz!! haha On Sunday, we all hung out at the house and played ladder golf and dominoes. That evening we sent all three grandchilren - Maggie, Layton and Clay- home with Popo and Bez and we headed down to the Bram's house to listen to Larry Joe Taylor. We woke up Monday morning and headed home to releave them of their babysitting duties! haha
As for the rest of September, we had a few wedding to attend, as well as my 10 year reunion!! I must say it was AWESOME seeing everyone!! We had a great time catching up and I do wish we could do it more often!!
Then, Wednesday, September 21st, Jackson got a phone call that no one EVER wants, his brother Stan had passed away. We spent the next few days/weekend traveling back and forth to Hutto/Georgetown. We had a memorial in EC that Sunday, which was really nice. Last Saturday, we attended another memorial in Austin for him. I must say that Jackson and I are so VERY thankful for all of the wonderful family and friends we have in our lives. All the phone calls, emails, texts, cards, etc. that we received with such kind comforting words are more appreciated than anyone will ever know. Stan as a great guy and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Maggie had her 4 month check up on September 26th. Along with that came ear piercing!! YIKES! I have never heard her scream that way!!! The pictures below show it well..... She wighed in at 14lbs and 24 inches! That's right! My baby gained 4lbs in 2 months!! haha She finally has some little fat rolls too!!
Last Saturday Jackson and I stayed the weekend with Sam, Jason, and Charlie in ATX. Of course the Maggie screamed from LaGrange to the other side of Bastrop, then didn't go to sleep until 11:30!! That little turkey! haha Saturday morning we woke up and had a delicious breakfast prepared by Chef Samantha. While the boys were eating, Sam and I played with the girls. Since Charlie had rolled over earlier that week, I was wondering if Maggie could do it. I put her on her belly, BAM....she rolled over!!! Yay!! We were so excited, but she hasn't done it since! :( We also began giving her green beans this week....boy does she love them!! It is sooo cute watching her eat them!!
Now October is here....wow time is flying!! This weekend I'm going to take Maggie to the pumpkin patch and then to our family reunion. Hopefully Sunday we will get to do nothing!! haha
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! O, and I will try to blog more often....and the new filters on our school computer don't let me post on other blogs, but I enjoy reading them!! :)
Cearal yummy!!
