I know it has been forever since I've blogged....but we have been super busy and tired! Ugh!
Ok...I'm going to back up a little....The last week of April we had the famous TAKS test - that means I was on my feet ALL day actively monitoring. When I got home that Wednesday, I felt the most horrible pain yet as I was getting out of my car. I immediately felt lots of pressure and my pelvic bone was hurting. I couldn't even walk. After a few minutes, I slowly made my way into the house and laid down for a bit. I started to feel better, but still not 100 %. Then the next day at work, everything was fine until about 3:40...I stood up from my desk and the pain hit me again! I felt paralyzed from the waist down- couldn't even take a step! Luckily I could reach the intercom button on my room phone and called Leslie to come to the rescue. Of course I didn't want to freak her out so I just asked her to come to my room. Upon arriving she knew something was wrong. I called my doctor and she graciously waited with me. However, 30mins went by and he hadn't called back. Since Jackson was at home, she helped me to my car and I headed home to him. The pain again subsided after a while, but I still didn't feel right. When the dr. called back, he just said I was having normal pregnancy pains and not to worry unless I had bad cramping or spotting. Since my pregnancy has been sooooo great....I believed him and that Friday I took it extra easy and didn't do much, but I did have some swollen feet!
On Saturday morning, I woke up early to get ready for Sarah Buss' wedding shower. Unfortunately, my feet were rather large! I opted to skip the shower and lay in bed with my feet propped up. Jackson was at the bay fishing....or I should say sobering up from the night before, so I got a lot of rest that day. That evening Jackson and I attended Sarah and Todd's couples shower at the Country Club. It was a really nice shower! We spent the evening visiting with the soon to be newly weds, the Little's, the Savino's, and the Ball's!!! Yes, I got to see my Katie!!! We had a great time catching up with everyone and cannot wait until the big day in June!!
Sunday morning we woke early for baptism class. Alicia and Chad are Maggie's godparents, and Slade and Robin are the Christian Witnesses. Jackson and I are really excited about being able to include all four of them in the baptism. Maggie is lucky to have such wonderful aunts and uncles! After the class, Jackson and I did some errands in town and had a very lazy Sunday. It was nice to be able to have such a relaxing weekend!!
This past Tuesday, the 4th grade teachers gave me a beautiful baby shower at school!! Lots of teachers and aides attended, and my mom and sister did as well. Maggie and I were blessed with lots of goodies that will come in handy once she arrives! Everyone was so gracious....I don't know what I am going to do with all my "family" next year! :(
After my shower, I again had the horrible pains I had gotten the week prior....and my body seems to get more sore daily.....
So Thursday I went for my 36 week appointment - gained 2 more pounds for a total of 17. I thought this was going to be my first exam, but he didn't...he said that since most first time moms make it to their due date, he would wait and exam me next week-Friday 13th! I again talked to him about the pressure and pains I had been having. Again...he assured me it was normal. Well.....when I laid down for him to listen to the heart beat, he began to feel on my tummy.....as his pushed around....we worked his way lower, and lower, and then suddenly had a shocked look on his face. He said, "Wow, he head is really wedged down there. She is already really low. How does a May baby sound?" Of course I said May would be fantastic!!! He told me about a month ago that he didn't think I'd make my due date and would like to see me home with her Memorial Weekend, so I wasn't too shocked that he said this again. It does make me feel better to know that the pains I have are from that and are normal....because they are painful!!!! So I'm hoping that if she doesn't come on her own soon, that he will induce on the 23rd. I have two weddings between now and then, and Jackson and I have already decided that unless I am physically in the hospital, we will be attending both. Both couples are special people in our lives and we do not want to miss their big days!!!
Yesterday Mom and I spent the day in Houston shopping. I got all the last minute baby stuff that I needed, and mom shopped for dresses for the two weddings. I did lots of sitting throughout the day so that my feet wouldn't swell. I made it through most of the day, then my soreness turned into pain! I made it home and took a warm bath hoping that would help.....not so much. Annie and crawled in bed and I was pretty much stuck there all night because I hurt too bad to get up. Jackson is at Lake Travis all weekend, so I really wish I would have chosen to stay at my moms, but I didn't. Today I'm cleaning house and working in Maggie's room....and taking it easy!!!
haha Below are a few pics from the school shower. I will post next week after my appointment!

Good News...
I know its been a while since I've posted anything....but I promise I'll get better!
So last Thursday we had our 32 week appointment and ultrasound. It was super exciting getting to see Maggie! I hadn't seen her since Jan. 3, and my has she grown! First the tech measured everything as normal and said all looked great! Then she switched over to 3D so we could see our little princess' face. However, it didn't work out so great. I apparently I have a ???? placenta (can't remember) but it's backwards so that makes it hard to "see" through. On top of that, Maggie was doing a high kick and blocking her face. Therefore the tech couldn't see through my placenta nor Maggie's leg. I was a little disappointed, but Jackson didn't want to see her face, so at least he will get one surprise from this pregnancy! :)
When I met with the dr, he informed me that Maggie weighs 4.5lbs and is doing great! He also told me that her head is not big, so delivery should be good! (I guess he could tell I was wondering) I gained 2lbs for a total gain of 12. Dr. Gubbles said that I will probably gain about a pound a week until the end. However, by the way I've been eating, I'm pretty sure I'll gain more than that! haha We go back next week for another checkup. Hopefully things will continue on track!
Now for some other good news.....I got the call I've been waiting for last night.....I got a new job!! I will be an educational diagnostician for the district starting next school year!!! For those of you that don't know what that is, I will be testing students for special education services. Another great part of this is that they also hired Ginger Kacal!! We are both very excited to start this new journey in our lives together!! Getting hired is a very bittersweet issue for me. It's the job I'm dieing to have, BUT....how do I leave my WONDERFUL Northside family???? I love everyone that I work with and will greatly miss them!!! :( They have been wonderful to me for the past five years, and I know they will support me on this new adventure. O, another great thing about getting the job, is that Mrs. Srubar has decided to retire! I cried when I heard the news, but am happy that we are leaving at the same time! I loved her as my principal in high school, and even more as my boss! It would be really hard to work for someone else.
This weekend I will be attending Tiffany's bachlorette party in Houston. We have lots of fun stuff planned, so I will be sure to post pics soon!

What a weekend!
Wow! I had a great weekend!
Saturday my wonderful friends and family honored Maggie and I with a beautiful baby shower at my Aunt Becky's house. The hostesses did an amazing job put everything together! We received lots of wonderful gifts that will come in handy when Maggie gets here.
Of course after the shower I had to come home and show Jackson EVERY gift that was received! I think he was also overwhelemed from the generosity of everyone. I spent the next few hours putting most of the goodies in their place then proped my feet up for a bit before heading to Slade and Tiffany's couples shower. They had a great turnout and received lots of manly gifts for Slade to put to use!
It was a great weekend seeing everyone and visiting!! Jackson and I feel very blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives and cannot wait for Maggie to meet everyone!
This coming Thursday I have my 32 wk appointment and 3d ultrasound. Check back then for pics!

Today marks 29 weeks! I was suppose to have a doctors appointment today, but once again...the doc is on vaca. So now I go on Tuesday instead and I'm really looking forward to it. Hearing her heartbeat is very exciting. My appointment after next will be an ultrasound! Yay! I haven't seen her since Jan 3rd!
Below are some belly pics that Jackson took right before I ate an awesome homemade hamburger for supper! haha Also are a few pics from Denver.
My belly is definitely growing!!
Yes, I have boobs....but the comfy sports bra hides them! haha

Spring Break
Spring Break is finally here!!! Whoo-hoo!!
Last week, Wed-Saturday, our district SWPBS team attended the national conference in Denver, Colorado. We learned lots of positive behavior strategies to share with our campuses. That Friday, we actually did a presentation on what our district is already doing. The presentation went well, and we received some positive feedback from the crowd. Since we did not get back to EC until around mid-night old time, I spent most of Sunday sleeping!
Monday morning I woke up early and headed to Wharton to take my 3 hour glucose test. Apparently my 1 hour one came back boderline so they had me retake it. I must say that the lemon-lime drink I got this time was much better than the orange one! The bad part was getting blood drawn 4 times!! Ouch! My arm hurt so bad after the first two that they used my hands for the others. :( After lunch I decided to tackle Maggie's room/closet. I went through ALL of the clothes that friends have passed down to her. I seperated them by size and began washing and organizing! It was very exciting and surreal to be doing it! When Jackson got home, he said he could see the "mommy glow" all over my face. I'm pretty sure I saw it on his too when he was helping me hang the clothes on the line! I wasn't planning on doing all of the washing yet, but when Samantha pointed out the fact that in 7 weeks I will be 36 wks, and the baby will be good to come when ready....I paniced a little!
Today, me, mom, Alicia, and Layton ran into Sugar Land. The #1 item on the agenda was to sign the consent forms at the hospital, but they were booked so I have to go back another day. We headed to Babies R' Us to get a few things and then stopped off at Target to get our friend Randa a gift for her upcoming baby shower. Now that I'm home, I'm back to working on Maggie's room. However, I could take a nap! haha
As for the rest of the week, I plan on relaxing, finishing up the room, playing Bunco, and watching Clay show turkeys at the HOuston Livestock Show on Friday. O...and eating yummy crawfish at Mindy's 30th birthday party on Saturday! Yum-Yum!
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather!!
O - to all the mommys out there....what is your preference on swings....Right now I have the kind that swings three different directions, but the baby won't be able to sit up in it. Should I get one that they can sit up more in or not???? Just curious!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!
Last week was super crazy for me! Monday was a "normal" day at work and class, Tuesday my kids took the Writing TAKS test...now that was a long day!! For those of you that do not know...as the kids test, the teacher as to walk around and monitor the whole time. The kids can't get out of their chair, can't talk...NOTHING!!! It is very stressful and tiring!! Wednesday and Thursday, I spent half the days at the Middle School observing ARDs for my practicum hours. Friday was then a "normal" day....and ended with happy hour(s) here at the house!
As for the weekend....Jen had her first wedding shower that turned out very nice and she got lots of fantastic gifts! After the shower mom and I took my crib - that was delivered all banged and scratched up- back to Babies R Us and got a new one. Jackson and I -well more him than me -put it together today! I absolutely love it!!! This is Maggie's gift from her Nana. Jackson of course put Annie in it to try it out and she went nuts...so I guess it will work for the baby!! Afterwards, I put on some shorts and a tank and climbed in a lawn chair and got some sun! I even tried to tan my belly - one of the joys of living in the country is no one can see you! haha We ended the day with a delicous meal made by Slade! He's such a good cook!
This week is going to be very busy also. Tomorrow will be spen preparing my kiddos for the two benchmark tests they have this week as well as attending a few ARDs, and class in Victoria. Tuesday I will spend the morning back at the Middle School getting observation hours, and will end the day back with my kiddos. The good news is that our NEW bedroom furniture will be here Tuesday afternoon!! Whoo-Hoo!! Wednesday morning we fly out to Denver for the International SWPBS conference for 3 days. I know you all may think "Wow...that's a vacation!" NOT! We will spend the days attending different sessions that provide info for us to bring to our campuses. However, on Friday, ECISD will be doing a presentation on our district. We have always done well and have had many people interested in how great our district is. Hopefully this year will be just as great! We will be returning back to EC late Saturday night.
As for Miss Maggie, she is growing!! The people that see me often told me this weekend that I am growing! yay! But of course the ones I don't see that often still tell my I look small! But that's ok...I'm sure I will pop within the next month! haha Maggie has been super hyper lately! I just lay in bed and watch my belly move! It's such an awesome experience!!
I hope everyone has a GREAT week!!!
